Is it bad that when I get a headache I don't think of drinking more water or taking medicine, I think - I should go get a coffee to get rid of this?

Considering that for about a week in college I thought the most reliable cure for a headache was LSD, no — I think coffee is a relatively benign response, and you shouldn't worry about it.
Besides, the caffeine in coffee DOES help headaches by constricting the blood vessels in your brain. That's why they put it in Excedrin. Science is awesome!
